Show Jump Rally - 1 day format

Run O’ the Mill Pony Club is co-hosting these rallies with Lake Shore Region Pony Club. Rallies will be in conjunction with the Run O' the Mill horse show. All rally rides will happen in conjunction with the equivalent classes in the horse shows. You have the option to also enter the horse show alongside the rally. If you enter the horse show for the same rides as rally, you do not ride additional rides, but your score will count in both the show and the rally and you will be eligible for show awards. No extra stall fee for show (included in rally entry). Info: www.rompc.org.
If you enter additional classes in the shows, it is your responsibility to make sure your rally responsibilities are fulfilled. Horse management staff will work with you as long as you communicate with them.

Camp Attendees will participate in 5 mounted lessons that will be in groups of 3 riders with 2 National Examiners and Horse Management sessions taught by professionals and peers. There will also be an option for an additional cross-country lesson at the end of camp.

Tetrathlon Discovery Day
Potential date in July 2022
Tetrathlon is a sport unique to Pony Club which provides a challenging competition requiring sound, practical horsemanship and general athletic ability. It encourages Pony Club members to broaden their interest in riding, condition their own bodies, and become multi-sport athletes. USPC graduate Tetrathletes frequently continue in a multi-sport environment by participating in Modern Pentathlon, which may ultimately provide a pathway to the Olympic Games.

D Jamboree

Jamboree is a 2.5 day camp organized and run by the Lake Shore Region Youth Board. Its focus is introducing the younger and more inexperienced pony clubbers, specifically Unrated (UR) and D1 members thru D3, to the wonders of USPC.
2.5 Day Mounted Jamboree includes:
● 3 mounted lessons
● Stall (bedding not included)
● Unmounted lessons taught by older pony club members
● Lunch each day for camper and associated guests
● T-shirt to decorate
● Tons of fun and games!
Unmounted Jamboree Participant includes:
If you are 13 or older and a D3 or higher Certificate Level, we would love to have you join us for Jamboree. It is not necessary to be a Youth Board representative to be a counselor at Jamboree. Being a counselor is a great opportunity to improve your mentoring skills and make new connections!
As a counselor, you will be able to participate in a 4 hour leadership workshop on Thursday. As a group counselor, you will be responsible for helping your campers learn about Pony Club in addition to making sure they get where they need to be, when they need to be there. Register above to be a Group Counselor for Jamboree.

WHAT: Lake Shore Region is excited to bring you the Pick Your Ride (PYR) Rally. Attendees choose three (3) Phases to ride in and compete as Teams of Riders & Stable Managers. This is a great opportunity to choose your favorite riding discipline and have fun with your fellow Pony Club members.

Eventing Rally will be hosted in conjunction with the Sundance Farm Horse Trial (HT); entry in the Horse Trial is required to participate in Eventing Rally. *NOTE* a minimum of 8 competitors must register for the Rally to be offered.
WHO: Members who register for the Sundance Horse Trail, are encouraged to compete in the Lake Shore Region Eventing Rally. This is a Qualifying Eventing Rally; and meets 1 of the 2 required Horse Trial requirements to compete at 2021 USPC Championships.

Each Club & Center is asked to have a representative at this important meeting; as we assign / volunteer hosts for events and discuss Regional business. - Lunch: Parent/Adult attending for FREE with paid attendee are welcome to reserve & pre-pay for a Box Lunch; as lunch is NOT included with the FREE attendance. Guests, chaperones and other attendees may reserve & prepay for a Box Lunch by selecting that option during online registration form. Box Lunch Cost is $8.00 per person.

This is the perfect way to practice Rally prep and learn Rally procedures without needing to care for a “real” horse. Members Compete in Horse Management, Dressage and Show Jumping Rally with their “model horse”. Before the rally teams work together to build “shoe box” stalls and make “rally kits” from cut out pictures or Model sized versions of equipment. EBTH is open to EVERYONE; including Pony Club Curious non-members! Invite your friends to share how "cool and fun" being a Pony Club member can be! Model Horse Show is not a requirement to participate in EBTH.

The different phases include: Classroom, Mega Room, Stations, Written Test, and Barn phase. The broad range of quizzing methods allows for many styles of learners to show their knowledge and have fun.

TIME: Phase move in/set up begins at 8:00am, Competitor check in from 8:15am to 8:55am, Rally Briefing at 9:30 a.m., Rally phases beginning at 10am. Awards at 5pm.

- preview of 2023 safety Standards of Proficiency's
- teaching techniques to prep members for their testing's
- being a PIP examiner as well as assistant examiners

- setting a successful testing day schedule
- filling out test sheets
- helping a candidate who “Did Not Meet Standard” and has the potential to retest and encouraging a candidate who may need to retake an entire testing. PLUS an opportunity to meet the leaders of Lake Shore Region’s clubs and centers and learn of opportunities to assist at a testing or help prep a club.

This is a great time to become an ambassador to help promote the many amazing opportunities offered through the Pony Club program and to network with new potential members to spread the word about your club/center! Also a great opportunity to connect with many alumni/past members/instructors!
Lake Shore Region will have a Pony Club Promotional in the Coliseum will be open 8:00-5:30pm each day. Youth and Adults are welcome to volunteer at the Booth during the event.
