The Clinician is National Examiner Christina Keim. The Instructors Symposium will take place 9a-1p on Saturday, May 2nd. Lessons are available Sunday with Christina. Friday night we will be hosting an HB/HA prep.
For DCs/CAs, and other club officers, this is a great opportunity to learn about:
*current USPC standards of proficiency *information on the popular alternative certificates *find examiners for your 2026 testings
For Instructors, Examiners, Would-be Examiners, and Pony Club Members, this is a great opportunity for you to learn about:
*teaching techniques to prep members for their testings *being a PIP examiner as well as assistant examiners *how to use a scribe *setting a successful testing day schedule *using the Pony Club flowcharts *filling out test sheets *helping a candidate who “Did Not Meet Standard” and has the potential to retest *encouraging a candidate who will need to retake an entire testing PLUS an opportunity to meet the leaders of Lake Shore Region’s clubs and centers and learn of opportunities to assist at a testing or help prep a club.
In order to prepare for this clinic & get the most out of your day, please familiarize yourself with the Standards of Proficiency (SOP), the Test Sheets and the Guidelines for Testing for each certificate. These include test sheets for D1, D2, D3, C1 & C2: Flat, Jumping, Dressage & Hunter Seat Equitation
Demo riders at the D1-C2 levels will be needed. ALL DEMO RIDERS WILL RIDE SATURDAY MORNING, in the same ring as Show Jump Rally rounds will be in later. Riders will be put in demo groups according to their current certificate levels. There will be different flat and jump groups. There will be lesson slots available as well.

2026 Instructors Symposium (IS) Registration
If I am a Pony Club Member, I understand that I will be unable to ride or be in the barn area without my MEDICAL ARM BAND OR BRACELET and proper footwear.
As an Instructors Symposium participant, I will download and bring my own copies of the 2024 Standards of Proficiency, Guidelines for Testing, and Test Sheets for each level.
Copy of current through 05/03/2026 Coggins, Proof of Rhino & Flu Vaccinations & Stall Card if bringing a horse.
Instructors Symposium Participant (includes lunch and publishing of your contact information to the LSR DCs/CAs) $60/person
Club or Center Officer (the first club/center officer is free) **Only Club/Center officers may use this, not to be transferred to non-officers*** $0 (first) Or $30/person to Audit/Watch
Stabling: 1 Stall day use: $30.00 $60 for a Friday & Saturday overnight stall use **Shavings must be provided for each stall by Rider-Strip stall prior to leaving**
